Razvan Ionasec, PhD

Razvan Ionasec is currently heading the Product Management and Innovations for the Artificial Intelligence program within the Diagnostic Imaging business area of Siemens Healthineers, Erlangen / Forchheim in Germany.  Prior to joining Siemens Healthineers, he worked as a Research Scientist and Project Manager for Siemens Corporate Research in Princeton NJ focusing on algorithm and software development as well as on the technical leadership of scientists and engineering teams based in the US, Europe and India. He obtained his PhD from the Technical University Munich, Germany in 2010 and focused his research on machine learning in medical image analysis. He has over 10 years of experience in R&D and product development in the healthcare sector and co-supervised PhD and MSc students in partnerships with academic and hospital institutions.
