HYBRID will provide the next generation to work at the cutting edge of medical imaging
Professor Paul Marsden
Paul Marsden has been involved in PET imaging for most of his career and has worked in all aspects of the field from the production of new radionuclides through to the development of clinical and research scanning protocols. He has a degree in physics at Oxford University, and a PhD in Medical Physics from the Institute of Cancer Research, University of London.
His research track record includes the early development of combined PET and MRI imaging systems, data analysis methods for clinical and research PET studies, the development of radionuclide production methods and development of PET and PET-CT image acquisition methods with a particular interest in motion correction and quantification for clinical applications.
He contributes regularly to many PET-related international meetings and committees and, with Prof Sally Barrington, runs the UK PET Core Lab.
