Masoomeh Rahimpour, MSc

Masoomeh did her BSc and MSc in Biomedical engineering at Tehran Polytechnic and Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran. During her masters, she focused on cardiac signal processing using  Bayesian approaches, and more specifically the implementation of an extended Kalman filter. After graduation, she joined Saadat Co., a global manufacturer of patient monitoring and electrocardiography systems, as an R&D engineer. Beginning 2017, she moved to NTNU, Gjoivk, Norway as a visiting researcher to expand her knowledge on medical image analysis and more specifically on melanoma classification using dermoscopy images. She is currently a PhD student at KU Leuven, Belgium. The aim of her project is to use machine learning approaches and combine PET and MRI information for improved tumor grading and enhanced therapy response prediction in Gliomas.
