HYBRID offers the integration of junior and senior researchers to take the next step in the world of multi-modality imaging

July Alejandra Gonzalez Valladares, MSc

Alejandra is a medical physicist from the University of Cauca, Colombia. In 2016, she earned her master's degree in medical physics working on optimization of acquisition protocols in cardiac SPECT studies.

After this, she joined the Nuclear Medicine School Foundation (Argentina) as a research fellow, where she gained experience in quality control, acquisition protocols and image processing in clinical applications of SPECT/CT and PET/CT. Her research interests involve the improvement of patient management through new strategies such as multi-parametric imaging.

Currently, Alejandra is a PhD student in the QIMP group at the Medical University of Vienna. As an early stage researcher in the HYBRID consortium, she is working on the standardization of quality assurance protocols for combined PET/MR and PET/CT imaging systems.
