HYBRID gives me the unique opportunity to work and collaborate with a selection of the best researchers throughout Europe. Young and experienced professionals working together in one of the most important and interesting subjects there is: improving healthcare through multi-modal imaging and analysis techniques.
Guilherme studied Physics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil. During his undergraduate studies, he focused on Material Science, while on his Master's he studied Theoretical Nuclear Physics studying the fusion of weakly bound nuclei. Nowadays, Guilherme is a PhD candidate at the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG) in The Netherlands. He is currently working on the quantification of brain PET images taking into consideration anatomical information from coregistered MR scans.
