The HYBRID programme is a great opportunity to experience research in different labs and countries across Europe
David Wallis, MSc
David Wallis is a PhD student in the 'In Vivo Molecular Imaging' lab at l'Université Paris-Sud. He did his Undergraduate and Master's at the University of Cambridge, focussing on computational particle physics and quantum field theory. Upon graduating in 2015 David took a year out travelling, before returning to the UK to work as a data analyst at a consultancy. After 2 years he decided to dive back into academia, and in March 2018 started a PhD as part of the Hybrid programme. His project aims to use machine learning methods to combine several modes of medical information to predict patient response to therapy.
