HYBRID is an opportunity for young researchers to develop and translate medical imaging knowledge into clinical tools for physicians and their patients.
David Iommi, MSc
David Iommi is a PhD student in Medical Physics at the Medical University of Vienna. He studied Biomedical Engineering at the Politecnico of Turin (Italy), focusing his master thesis on a hybrid cardiovascular/image-based approach to estimate atherosclerosis risk after carotid surgery. He is currently a member of the HYBRID consortium and the QIMP (Quantitative Imaging and Medical Physics) group in Vienna. He covers the ESR14 position, focusing on prostate cancer biopsy driven by hybrid image information and deep learning techniques for quantitative imaging.
